Our Story

Where did the Zoosmee store get its start?

One day, on my way to work, I watched on the commuter train as a small child in their stroller naturally swiped a tablet with their finger, staring intently at the screen... It seemed almost incredible. I wondered about the child's actions – for they were still so very young. But at the same time, I thought something was wrong, perhaps I felt something was missing...

Curiosity, hands-on activity, exploration, building, experimenting. These are the things through which children have learned for generations.

I kept thinking about that child and the situation I saw on the train. I developed a desire to find quality products that would support a child's development. However, I found a huge number of plastic, short-lived, and often remotely manufactured products on the market, whose origin or safety was difficult to ascertain. Most of them were products that I wouldn't even want to give to my own grandchildren.

First, I felt a "pang in my heart" about all the unsustainable things I had once acquired for my own children and how poorly I had instructed them on mobile device use ☹.

Then an idea was born:
"What if it were possible to offer children genuinely developmental products that are produced responsibly in Europe?"

So, we started this shop with a simple question:

Why is it so difficult to find children's products that are both developmentally meaningful and responsibly manufactured?

As parents, grandparents, and family members – we wanted alternatives to endless screen time and mass-produced products of unclear origin.

Today, our mission is simple:

To help children learn through real-world exploration and to help families choose products with confidence.

My "aha!" moment wasn't that technology was a bad thing. It was, however, the realization that something invaluable was disappearing from children's lives:

sustained concentration
creative exploration
natural curiosity

At the same time, I noticed how difficult it is for parents to find products they can truly trust.

I completely understand parents and grandparents (I am one myself).

Daily life is busy.

Sometimes the screen is the easiest solution.

And when you try to find a quality product for a child, you face thousands of options, whose safety, origin, or responsibility you cannot be sure of.

That's why we decided to make the choice easy and want to support parents and grandparents like me. The purpose of our shop is to help find safe, best, and award-winning products to promote our children's development and growth.
